Audrain MedicalCenter Hosts 13th Annual Women’s Health Conference

AudrainMedicalCenter is pleased to sponsor the 2012 Women’s Health Conference on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at AMC in Jansen Auditorium. This year’s theme is Life Happens, Learn to Bounce. The keynote speaker, Susie Oberdahlhoff, is a city-born preacher’s kid turned farm-wife from Bowling Green, MO. She is described as the “Erma Bombeck of Agriculture” and has entertained audiences across the country with her wit and wisdom. Susie’s unique perspective and gift of storytelling causes people to laugh at life and learn at the same time.

Participants are able to attend three break-out sessions following the keynote speaker. Topics include: Health Facts for Women: Putting Foot Health Before Fashion by Kyle Fiala, DPM from the University of Missouri; The Exciting World of Facebook by Linda Marth and Keegan Evans; Over-the-Counter Supplements and Drug Interactions presented by Ashley Nixon-Mongler, Pharm.D.; The Nouns & Verbs of Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Detection by Martha Sydow, RN from AMC’s Health & Wellness Services; Full Body Stretch, with Jenea Smith, Director of AMC’s Rehabilitation Services; True Aromatherapy Basics by Christina Kelley, owner of Makes Scents in Columbia, MO; Obesity: What’s the Big Deal by Clark Andelin, MD, MPH, from Mexico Women’s Health Specialists and Cashing in on Your Coupons by Marcie Buckman.

The registration fee of $20.00 includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration begins at 8 am and the day will conclude at 3 pm with door prizes donated by area businesses.
