Audrain Medical Center Foundation recently received a $40,000 endowment gift to fully fund the Garf Thomas Family Education Program. Proceeds from the investment will be used to fund annual or bi-annual education programs for Audrain Medical Center and St. Mary’s Health Center, Jefferson City, MO Department Directors/Managers.
"I appreciate the many good things Audrain Medical Center and St. Mary’s Health Center have done for me and my family. This is our way of giving back to these health care organizations," stated Garf Thomas.
"We are extremely thankful and appreciative for Garf Thomas’ family donation. It helps the AMC Foundation continue to meet our mission to seek and secure support for Audrain Medical Center. This gift will provide a great opportunity to bring in education for our leaders, stated Tammy Kobush, AMC Foundation Director.
In 1993, the AMC Foundation established a formal endowment program as a step towards its goal of supporting health care for our communities now and in the future. An endowment may be initiated with a $500 gift and added to over time until it becomes fully funded when it reaches or exceeds $5,000.
Endowments may be established in honor or in memory of an individual, family or program.
An endowment is an opportunity for the donor to leave a perpetual gift that will leave a legacy for the family, honoree or company for which it is named. All gifts to the AMC Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. If you’d like more information on giving opportunities, please contact Tammy Kobush at 573-582-8368.
